The various pictures included here tell their own story - and earlier posts let you know of my activities earlier in the year! It's hard to believe that it's almost a year ago that i was heading to the UK for Mother's BIG 100th birthday - and in a week's time she is due to turn 101, all being well....

Fun in the Sun - The Reeds in the Dominican Republic
I never did get around to relating our adventures, at the end of August, in the Dominican Republic, but it was certainly a memorable week together! We soon became accustomed to sun-filled days of swimming, snorkelling, bocci ball, mini-golf and relaxation, with a gourmet meal at a different restaurant each evening! I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Roxanna(20) Tony (19) and Alex(17) before classes began again for them the following week - Roxanna at Conestoga College for her final year, Tony at University of Waterloo for his 2nd year of electrical engineering, and Alex for his final year of high school. Unfortunately, Elaine was quite restricted in what she was able to do, as she fell and injured her back the first evening we were there, so was in a lot of pain all week.. Consequently, she, Doug and Clara (Elaine's mother) spent most of the time relaxing around the pool at the villa during the day.
